Our teacher is a very experienced 'tracker'. she trains her dogs herself and competes with them as far as state level.
My two young ones did well and i can't wait to see how they develop.

Today my oh so dear friend Larry McCampbell from Merrigang kennels died at the age of 48 years. After a year of suffering he left us this morning. Larry is the breeder of my red girl Cara and was a passionate dog breeder. Thank you for being my friend and that i could be with you for the last week of your life.

Hattah becomes Kiwi!!
Unfortunately we had to find out that Cara and Hattah are way to similar sounding for our two youngest ones. Every time i have to talk to Hattah in a stern voice, Cara thinks i adress her and crouches and begs for forgiveness without knowing why (of course she doesn't know because she didn't do wrong). We decided for the name of Kiwi for my beautiful little blue girl.

Linus, my beautiful boy, turns 4 and developped into such a great dog!! Thanks again, Tuulia, for breeding this special boy.
Quinn is 7 yrs old now and she is still breathtaking and a sight to see!! I am so happy that are you looking after me day after day my dear girl, please stay with us for many more years.

Sawdust's Crushed Blue Ice a.k.a. 'Hattah' moves in.
Well, we never planned on getting this extraordinary girl but after i went to Sawdust kennels to take pictures of the new litter i just couldn't help it.
She seems to be the perfect match for our little pack and Heike, the breeder seems to have chosen the perfect partner for her broodbitch Pride. Hattah shows great angulation, a perfect topline, a beautiful head and all this comes with incredible movement and a strong character.
I can't wait to see her grow up!!

Today Quinn was attacked and bitten by farmdogs when we passed by on a official road. Quinn was runnin along my bike on a leash. Thanks to my vet Karin Schulte who had to put in a nightshift for me, her wounds healing nicely and as she has to wear a pink t-shirt she can’t chew out the staples :o)

Today Cara is with us for a week already.
She fits in perfectly. Linus is still a little bit jealous but he is to much gentleman to harm her. Quinn likes her layed back ways inside the house and allowes her to lay close to her and sleep. Shannon is happy to have a dog as energetic as her and they play wild cattle dog games for hours without end.
Today was our first time at the puppy training class. EVERYBODY loved her!! and she did so well. She especially liked the puppy agility and she seems to take after her very successful aunt Sky.

SHE IS HERE!!!!!
This morning i finally picked my little Cara up at Frankfurt airport!! And again it was running from place to place with a huge pack of papers, getting stamps and paying fees but then, after 2 hours i held my red girl in my arms. She is incredible brave and shows her mum’s terriffic temperament!! Larry, thank you endless times for sending her to me!!!

After eating something poisonous out on the fields in October, Quinn and Linus were very sick. Now they are well and fit to compete again. And again i have to thank my vet Karin Schulte, for coming to my aid on a public holiday and saving my beloved furballs.

Here is the report from Mr. W. Peper, Germany, for Linus’ win in the open class:
Masculine male, excellent head, excellent topline, excellent proportions, excellent angulation, excellent chest, paws and tail. Correct bone structure, excellent coat, floating, paralled movement, evenly converging.
Mr. Peper very much regretted that, according to VDH - rules, he wasn’t allowed to reward Linus with a EX but had to downgrade him to a VG1 for two missing premolares. Mr. Peper finds Linus to be an outstanding Cattle Dog.

My good friend Larry McCampbell from Merrigang Kennel, USA, and his bitch Dreamtime October Sky won the novice champion titles agility in standard and jump and weave on friday. Both runs were perfect 100 points runs.
The two of them advanced to the open devision where they won their first qualification towards the open champion title in standard on sunday. This run was rewarded with 100 points from 100 possible.
Sky and Larry, I am terribly proud of you!!

Linus survives an attack from straying dogs on our
farm. After an emergency operation he recovers
slowly. He’ll have massive scars for the rest of his
life but seems to be mentally clear.
